Week 7 Unit 3

In order to complete '2a collect information' FULLY, I had imported this data in my database so in this section I could show any database 'fully populated with data' and I could review the data clearly. 

For this reason, I have imported this into Microsoft Access as shown as follows; 

This is the parent file, and the student file has been added just underneath. They are BOTH imported files from excel shown in my previous blog entry.

Difficulties faced: when importing the file, I forgot to tick the box which related to the primary key which meant I had to begin the process again. Then afterwards I had committed another mistake and I hadn't ensured the first row remained as the field names which would end up confusing me so I started again. On the third attempt, I had successfully imported the student file. I ended up resolving the issue by repeatedly starting again. 

The method I had used to import and get the files provided can be found under the section '2e develop information' as this is where I will show how the system has been created as this has been asked specifically. I will also develop this information and using my review of the information I have completed, I will also do what it says. For example add validation which can be used for the other .

milestone 6 for 2a collect information (review information thoroughly): I have successfully completed this by carefully examining the data provided and have added future plans on them and decided what was necessary to add when they're placed on the database. I have also based some judgements such as the theme for the prom etc. This reviewed information should help me later on in the project. Difficulties faced: I didn't face many difficulties at this point because I was checking through the information and planning (sort of) what I am going to do after. Although at some point, I was totally blank and had to read through the other tasks again and recall my database skills by doing a practise model. I then became aware of the wider validation checks and related them to this case.
