Week 8 Unit 3

I have spent this week fiddling with my database and making the tables more useful by adding types of validation to my tables to make it more sensible. I had first of all added drop down lists which ensured the person entering data filled in the field  from the pre-set values provided. This reduced errors and I had decided to produce this for the dietary requirements column as shown on the screenshot provided.

I had also changed the default data types to ones that most related to the field as I thought this was vital to change for both the student as well as parent file as I would need this sooner on to create a relational database so database redundancy does not occur. I am going to create this using the student and parent file. The current data types are shown below;

These are the data types, I still need to add two more calculated fields for the relationships I need to create.
Moreover, I had to add similar if not the same data types for the parent table as well as student table so I could relate them together afterwards I hope to complete this next week.
