Week 16 Unit 3

This week I have fully completed my select information section of the controlled assessment where I have created the queries and the reports that accompany them. I have formatted these reports and have finished my format information section for the formatting that has been used in 2a and 2b.

2b Select information

milestone 1 (create a relational database): I have successfully achieved this as stated once before. I didn't face any difficulties here and I had linked them so that data redundancy hadn't occured. The evidence for this is shown below which shows the records linked.

Milestone 2 (decide what information the prom organiser will require): I have also achieved this milestone also as shown from the mind map I created - illustrated on the screenshot towards the right.
At this point, I did face a few difficulties as I was uncertain on the data was was needed in my letter and whether I missed any out so I used the help sheets that were provided to me.

2c Format information

Milestone 1 (format of page layout (portfolio): I have completed and achieved this milestone by explaining how I have formatted my general page layout; in this case with a landscape orientation etc. The evidence on the left shows evidence.

Milestone 2 (format of text): the screenshot shown on the right shows evidence that I have explained how I have formatted my text. I have provided an explanation as to how it is suitable also. I have spoken about the text alignment, the text fill, text style, font, size etc.

Milestone 3 (formatting parts of the database and powerpoint):  The evidence shown on the left shows that I have formatted my powerpoint and database. This screenshot only shows some parts of what I have completed. I didn't face any difficulties here.

Milestones 4 (explain why I have used this way of formatting): the screenshot on the left shows the table that i had produced with a column that discussed how suitable the method that I used was. This fulfilled the milestone and completed it.
