Week 3 Unit 3

This week I have prepared my managing storage document which will be an ongoing procedure and which will be complete at the end of the course. I have begun this so that I am pre-organised and I am able to save my files to their appropriate destinations as soon as I complete them to avoid me losing them and to maintain my organisation of files.

I first of all created a folders and introduced the location of each which is milestone 1 for this section (locating files). I didn't have any trouble when completing this simply because it was easy to figure out as it was stated in the candidate booklet. I had to create a lot of folders and sub-folder within them which was quite a long procedure but it achieved the milestone/criterion after all, as the location was figured out and it was organised. The screenshot below shows an example of one of the file paths and how I've organised it.

The file path also shows the next milestone; milestone 2 (file naming). The screenshot shows complete file names that are appropriate confirming their completion. This wasn't hard work as the file names had to be basic which were already present in the candidate booklet.

milestone 3 (securing back-up): I had also successfully completed (prepared) this section also by preparing these same files on the internet. I used my school website to do this where there is a secure area where only I have access to. This is to reduce the threats of data theft and the risk of losing all my files. This area is known as Ispace. The screenshot here shows this ^

I have also shown all of this on a word document and annotated appropriate areas where these milestones are confirmed. They show how I have produced all the outcomes for this section. Refer back to the document linked to '1c Progress' to see this.
